Connecting Cross Culturally - Dia de los Muertos [Trip Planning #3]

  • 12924 Hennen Road Burnsville, MN, 55337 United States (map)

When anyone travels with us, they are welcomed by the communities we visit as family. This is an honor and not one we take lightly. So what does it mean to be culturaly aware and thoughtful with how we connect?

This isn’t about “doing it right” because we will all surely mis-understand a someone or have an awkward interaction when we travel. What is more important is how we deal with it, how we ask questions and what our intention is.

Here are some of the topics we will cover in the FINAL session before travel:

  • Ethics of cultural travel

  • Connecting with people across language barriers

  • Getting curious in new situations

  • How to prepare before travel

*While this happy hour is specifically for those traveling with us this month, all are welcome to join the conversation. If you know someone interested in traveling in the future, this is a good opportunity to see what a planning session is all about.
